The trip to the Alpendorf is quick and convenient whether by car via the motorway, by one of the frequent trains that run from Salzburg Central Train Station or by air to the Salzburg Airport.
Arrival by car
Coming from Salzburg - A10 Tauernautobahn Morotway – Exit Bischofshofen/Sankt Johann im Pongau – continue to the south Sankt Johann Süd junction, follow the signs for Alpendorf/Großarl, after about 3 km, turn left into Alpendorf.
Coming from Vienna - A1 West Autobahn Motorway toward Linz, St. Pölten, Pressbaum – transfer from A1 to the A10 towards Graz/Villach at the Salzburg junction – leave the A10 at the exit Bischofshofen / Sankt Johann – continue until the Sankt Johann Süd south junction, head in the direction of Alpendorf / Großarl, after about 3 km, turn left into Alpendorf.
Coming from Munich - Take the A8 towards Salzburg – transfer from the A8 to the A1 - transfer from A1 to the A10 towards Graz/Villach at the Salzburg junction – leave the A10 at the exit Bischofshofen / Sankt Johann – continue until the Sankt Johann Süd south junction, head in the direction of Alpendorf / Großarl, after about 3 km, turn left into Alpendorf.

Sankt Johann im Pongau is easily accessible by train.
