During the winter months - if snow conditions permit – WIWI is pleased to take you – once a week - on a snowshoe hike off-piste through the winter landscape! You can rent the snow shoes directly at the hotel.

The following cross-country ski trails can be found in St. Johann / Alpendorf:
- Cross-country ski run Plankenau: approx. 6.2 km (medium degree of difficulty)
- Alpine village cross-country ski run: approx. 4 km (medium degree of difficulty)
- Panorama high altitude cross-country ski run: approx. 3 km (medium degree of difficulty)
As cross-country skiing depends heavily on snow conditions, we kindly ask you to check with reception before heading out.

Ski tours
Go off-piste with an expert! Once you have decided how challenging your tour should be, your guide will be happy to give you the necessary tips on how to plan your ascent track, use avalanche detectors, shovels, probes and much more. The decision is yours whether to take an extreme tour or use the marked tour routes.

Toboganning, snow shoeing, ice skating, Alpine Curling
Alternative winter sports are also popular in St. Johann/Alpendorf! There are 2 toboggan runs (Hahnbaum: approx. 3.5 km, Alpendorf: approx. 1.5 km), an ice rink, Alpine curling rinks and many opportunities to explore the winter landscape off-piste.
We organise regular "tobogganing evenings" for our house guests with a stop at the cozy "Vogei Hütt'n".
