Summer highlights for families
In summer, the countryside around the Alpina becomes a playground for adventure and discovery. This is thanks not only to the extensive network of hiking trails, cycle routes and walking paths that criss-cross the region, but also to the countless attractions and sporting activities that never cease to amaze even us. Active and adventurous families are certainly in for a treat. In addition to the weekly activity programme for the whole family, where we organise group picnic walks, trips to the farm and leisurely e-bike tours, the Geisterberg, the adventure playground at 1,800 metres, a large playground in front of the hotel and rafting on the Salzach offer fun and action for all ages.

What’s more, we’ll save you a lot of hassle when it comes to planning – tickets and vouchers are available at reception, and we’ll be happy to book your experiences for you.

Age-appropriate care at the KidsClub
We take the time needed to ensure that everyone can enjoy their holiday exactly as they wish. For us, this also includes professional, free childcare. Trained childminders look after our youngest guests every day and ensure that your family holiday at the Alpina is a truly special experience. So, as well as plenty of time together as a family, we also make sure Mum and Dad get some ‘me-time’

Ghost Mountain
An adventure park for the whole family on the Gernkogel (1,767 m above sea level). In a stunning panoramic setting, Spuki and Gspensti guide the little ones through a variety of ghostly worlds, whilst the grown-ups enjoy a unique hiking and nature experience.

You can reach the Geisterberg via the Alpendorf gondola lift, right next to the Alpina, and from the top station by the Ghost Train. With the Sôha Summer Card, you receive 1 ticket per person per holiday (from 2 nights) for a return trip as well as for many other attractions in the area

Adventure Playground
Right outside the hotel, our younger guests will find a huge adventure playground that has everything they could wish for. Here, the kids can really let off steam.
From the giant slide to the giant jumping mat, the fun court and the large trampoline — it’s no wonder that the Alpendorf playground is one of the most popular in the Salzburg region. And the best part is: you’ll find it right outside the hotel, and from our sun terrace you have the perfect view to watch the little ones at play.
