Under the motto “feels like home”, our primary aim is to ensure that all our guests feel at home with us, and we therefore strive to cater specifically to any special requirements. We are happy to take details of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking so that we can take them into account and put together a personalised menu. From suitable mattresses and special gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan menus to the right baby formula, we ensure you enjoy a carefree holiday with us at the Alpina. Your home away from home.

The Alpina Alpendorf is easily accessible by car, train or plane – location and how to get there.

With the free Salzburg Verkehr – Guest Mobility Ticket, you can travel stress-free by bus and train throughout the entire province – for the duration of your stay. Whether it’s a day trip to the city of Salzburg, a trip to the lake or a hike in the nearest valley: this holiday ticket gets you to your destination easily and hassle-free.

Good to know:

• Valid on all public transport in the province of Salzburg (city and regional buses, suburban trains, regional trains, long-distance trains and micro-public transport)
• Available at check-in or, on request, in advance by email
• Digital version for your mobile phone or as a PDF to print out

Are you travelling by train? We’ll pick you up free of charge at St. Johann station and take you back there on your departure.

Check-in: Our rooms are available for check-in from 2.00 pm. If you are arriving earlier, please let us know and we will do our best to have your room ready for you as soon as possible.

Check-out: On the day of departure, your room is available until 11:00 am; however, you are welcome to continue using the spa facilities until the evening for a small additional charge. Lockers are available in the changing rooms, and we will safely store your luggage at reception in the meantime.

Right in front of the hotel, during the summer months, you’ll find the Alpendorf-Bergbahnen adventure playground, which offers plenty of fun for our younger guests. As this is not run by the hotel, we have no control over the fees sometimes charged for the play equipment (e.g. the Discoboat or Babykarts) or over the opening hours.

Bike hire is available right next to the hotel, with special rates for Alpina guests. You’re sure to find the right bike for every outing here. Alpina guests receive special rates on all e-bikes, children’s bikes, mountain bikes and road bikes.

Our breakfast buffet offers everything you need for the perfect start to the day! A selection of wholemeal breads and rolls, a muesli corner, an egg cooker, and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices for that extra burst of freshness in the morning. A selection of vegan delicacies, fresh fruit and vegetables, and for those with a sweet tooth: pancakes, fresh waffles, cakes, Danish pastries, regional honeycomb and much more. All complemented, of course, by a range of coffee and tea specialities.

A voucher from Alpina always makes a lovely gift. Whether you’re giving the gift of a stay, a massage at our ASIAN beauty & spa, or simply a standard gift voucher, it’s sure to delight the recipient. All vouchers for a specific service are valid for one year from the date of issue, or as stated on the voucher itself. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. Gift vouchers do not have an expiry date. You can easily order your voucher online or by calling info@alpina-alpendorf.at.

Dogs are permitted in most rooms. We charge a fee of €25.00 per day. A dog bed, a blanket and a water bowl will be provided in the room for the duration of your stay. Please understand that some rooms are suitable for guests with allergies and therefore pets are not permitted in these rooms. We therefore require brief advance notice. To live up to our motto ‘Holidays for the whole family’, we also offer dog-sitting services: For €30 an hour, we’ll look after your four-legged hotel guests, take them for walks and make sure they’re well looked after whilst the rest of the family is away.

If your outing is likely to take a little longer, we’d be happy to put together a packed lunch for you in the morning at a cost of €8.00 per person. A picnic basket for a leisurely picnic in the countryside is no problem either! For €49, our basket is generously filled and makes the perfect picnic companion.

All our rooms are equipped with a coffee machine; capsules are charged at €1.50 each. A variety of coffee specialities are included in our extensive breakfast buffet, and as part of our ‘Verwöhnpension’ package, a selection of coffee and tea is available during our ‘Coffee & Sweets’ afternoon session from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm.

There are plenty of doctors and pharmacies right in the village of St. Johann. Should the need arise, we will of course arrange an appointment or obtain any necessary medication. Also worth noting: Schwarzach Hospital is only about a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

In the Alpina Morning Post, we provide you with daily updates at breakfast on the weather, day-out options and the guided activities programme. Whether it’s a group picnic walk, a trip to a farm or hiking tours that are planned, you’ll find all the details here. You’ll also find out what the fitness team has planned for you and which events are taking place in the local area.

From 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, we’ll treat you to homemade cakes, coffee and tea for a little sweet afternoon break.

Our reception is open daily from 8 am to 10 pm. You are, of course, still welcome to arrive or depart outside these hours! A quick heads-up in advance is all that’s needed.

Covered parking spaces are available for all guests in the underground car park and directly in front of the main entrance. Free of charge for the duration of your stay.

If you are arriving by train or plane, we are happy to arrange a private transfer in our comfortable hotel coach. Our reservations team can provide prices for Salzburg or Munich. Pick-up from St. Johann station is free of charge, provided you book in advance.

The hotel has a self-service washing machine and tumble dryer available for a fee. If you don’t feel like doing the washing up whilst on holiday, you’re welcome to use our laundry and ironing service.

Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel – that goes without saying.
