Herbie the Hiking Bus
Herbie is our hiking shuttle. Throughout the summer and autumn, he takes you weekly to a wide variety of starting points for particularly beautiful hikes in the Salzburg region. And of course, he’ll pick you up again. The tours range from easy to challenging, from circular walks to summit tours – there’s something for everyone.

Sankt Johann is situated right on the 180 km Tauern Cycle Route. With gentle, flat paths along the Salzach, the cycling routes here are endless. And best of all, they’re suitable for the whole family.

Lush greens set against an alpine backdrop – right on our doorstep, you’ll find 12 of Salzburg’s most beautiful golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the Alpina Alpendorf. We’ve arranged special rates for you at most of them and will, of course, be happy to help with your booking. First and foremost, we’d like to recommend our very own OPEN Golf St. Johann Alpendorf, where you can play as much as you like, free of charge, at any time.
In our own 2-court indoor tennis hall with carpeted floors, our hotel guests can play in winter at a special rate – we’re happy to book courts for you at reception. During the summer months, use of the indoor tennis hall is included free of charge with the Sôha Summer Card! We recommend making a reservation at the time of booking to guarantee your preferred dates. Rackets, balls and indoor shoes can be hired at the hotel. Private introductory tennis lessons with a coach, as well as coaching sessions (beginners, intermediate, advanced), are available at any time. During the summer months, we are also happy to reserve one of the outdoor clay courts at the tennis club in St. Johann, approx. 10 minutes’ drive from the Alpina – also free of charge with the Sôha Summer Card.
