A family affair since 1972

What began in 1972 is today more than half a century of hospitality.

Marianne Schwarz laid the foundation – with a clear sense of what guests truly seek in the mountains. Not perfection, but warmth. For us, true luxury means closeness and hospitality that comes from the heart.

Her son Erwin Schwarz carried this spirit forward – with the belief that a hotel only becomes truly great when it feels like home. Not just any home. One you love to return to.

Today, Sara Schwarz, Erwin’s daughter, leads the Alpina. Raised among guests, mountains and the stories that have been created in this house. The third generation shaping the hotel. With a fresh perspective, but deep roots. With respect for what has grown over the years and the courage to keep evolving, Sara looks forward to welcoming you – just as Marianne Schwarz once began and still does today: with warmth and a love for the little things.
